چکیده
Seismic fragility analysis, a part of seismic probabilistic risk assessment (SPRA), is commonly used to establish the relationship between representative property earthquakes and failure probability structure, component, or system. Current guidelines on SPRA nuclear power plants (NPPs) worldwide mainly reflect earthquake characteristics western United States. However, different may have significant impact structure. Given concern, this study aimed investigate effects concrete containments housing OPR-1000 reactor. Earthquake time histories were created from 30 ground motions (including those 2016 Gyeongju earthquake) by spectral matching site-specific response spectrum Hanbit in South Korea. Fragility curves containment structure determined under linear history analysis using lumped-mass stick model motions, compared terms characteristics. The results showed that median capacity high confidence low (HCLPF) tended highly depend sustained maximum acceleration (SMA), increase when which lower SMA with others.

Seismic Fragility Assessment of Steel SMRF Structures under Various Types of Near Fault Forward Directivity Ground Motions
In this paper, the seismic collapse probability of special steel moment-resisting frame (SSMRF) structures under near fault pulse-like and far fault ordinary ground motions is evaluated through fragility analysis. For this purpose, five sample frames with 3 to 15 stories are designed and imposed to the ground motion excitations with different characteristics. Fragility curves are derived for th...
متن کاملSelection of Optimal Intensity Measure for Seismic Assessment of Steel Buckling Restrained Braced Frames under Near-Fault Ground Motions
Buckling restrained braces (BRBs) have a similar behavior under compression and tension loadings. Therefore, they can be applied as a favorable lateral load resisting system for structures. In the performance-based earthquake engineering (PBEE) framework, an intermediate variable called intensity measure (IM) links the seismic hazard analysis with the structural response analyses. An optimal IM...
متن کاملEstimation of signal characteristics in seismic ground motions
In this study it is investigated whether signal processing techniques and leastsquare minimization methods applied to seismic data can identify the deterministic signal components that contribute significantly to the motions. The identification of these deterministic components would then allow the treatment of the remaining part of the time histories as random and result in better descriptions...
متن کاملSeismic Damage Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Building Considering Member Fracture
The Adaptively Shifted Integration (ASI) technique, which produces the highest computational efficiency in the finite element analyses of framed structures including static and dynamic collapse problems, is applied to the seismic damage analysis of a reinforced concrete building. By expressing member fracture by a plastic hinge located at the exact position with a simultaneous release of result...
